1.全句的主语是 the black-tailed deer，is是谓语，the most common是表语，构成系表结构，now是一个副词，只是作时间状语。中间的lowland, west-side cousin of the mule deer of eastern Washington作主语的同位语，lowland和west-side说明这种black-tailed deer在西部低地，后面的cousin等说明它与东华盛顿的mule deer有亲缘关系。在分析成分的时候可以先将同位语略去。
2.个人认为第二句缺少连词，但是英文文章有时就是这样，不一定完全与我们所学习的语法知识完全一致，就好像中国人的文章也并不是完全正确一样。这里应该另起一句，it就是指代前面的white-tailed deer；now同样只是时间状语，说明这句话所说的是现在的状况；to就是一个介词，“到”的意思，那种鹿被重新限制到了沼泽地生活。
