(6) people due to engineering and safety engineering
All the manufacturing work environment, public life, space, consumer product design, man-machine interface, people with disabilities, auxiliary equipment, etc., can be applied to people because of engineering and safety engineering. The development of future research should pay greater attention to ways to enhance the values of humanity, as well as the direction of raising the quality of life, etc..
(7) Logistics Management
Engaged in large-scale complex systems (such as semiconductor production scheduling, power dispatching, telecommunications network planning) problem of architecture in order to set up the model of complex issues; the application of new mathematical tools and information to develop an effective analytical method, and the development of the management of large systems, including systems engineering, project management. With the increasingly competitive enterprise, to be more rapid response competitive strategy, so how in the uncertain environment for effective use of resources, careful assessment and planning rapidly, combined with information technology and operations research to important direction.
(8) Service Management
Service system, including the direction of future research in Industrial Engineering Services
System, the general issue of research, service design, service R & D management, service system design, service operations management, service performance management, application areas apart from the service industry, and yet the people in government services and e-government, etc.; and at network environment, design and manage new services. Such as e-commerce, customer relationship management and other new business service models.
(9) environmental management
Industrial Engineering from the "accrued benefit when the benefit of the world" perspective, from the "green production" and the product life cycle of production to study the impact on the environment, thus to the scientific management method of the production process to reduce the negative environmental impact.
(10) rational decision-making
The introduction of scientific management and decision analysis methods to assist public policy and national policy to explore the rational, the establishment of science and technology managers prediction, assessment and planning capacity, set up from a strategic, decision-making to the integration of operations management models and expand the contribution of industrial engineering.

Produces study cooperation to produce study the cooperation to cultivate including the cooperation research with the talented person. Therefore, besides the union theory and the practice empirical study, the industrial engineering foundation talented person and manager's education, lifelong studies, the network teaching and so on is key. the innovation and the research and development manage the network time information easily to obtain, innovate rarely because of its create the new value to have the new business model. However, whether innovates to manage? The industrial engineering takes a conformability strong discipline, how plays the strong character in the innovation research is the question which the future will be worth thinking deeply. the whole world manufacture management with enterprise conformity the redesign work and the scheduling of resources, establishes the elastic international production system, including enterprise management system management systems and so on resources plan, supply chain management, as well as establishment platforms and so on enterprise conformity, synchronized project, coordination commerce, causes the demand, the production, the sale, the service as well as the financial conformity at the same place.
Future thrust of industrial engineering
With economic globalization and development trend of liberalization of the world, the industrial structure of Taiwan faces the enormous transition too, how to make the industry of Taiwan innovate to make the transition, and then promote competitiveness and earning capacity, have already become the important problem that the industry has managed continuously forever. Following canvasses the future thrust of industrial engineering from different directions separately:
(1) human resource development
The globalization and competition trend in future that because answer, there must be sturdy professional foundations in future industrial engineering, elastic plural knowledge, and the cognition of plural value, enable it to meet and globalize and change the keen competition of the environment fast.

All the intersection of manufacturing industry and working environment, public living space, consume product design, man-machine interface, disabled the intersection of personage and auxiliary equipment, etc., can employ people because of project and safety engineering. Study, develop, should pay attention to how promote the intersection of human nature and value, promote quality of the life direction even more future.
(7) draw up plans to manage
Engaged in large-scale complicated problem framework of system (until semiconductor produce, arrange Cheng, electric deployment, telecommunication network planning), in order to set up the model of the complicated problem; Employ new mathematics and information tool, in order to develop effective analysis to ask solving the method, and manage the ability of the large-scale system, including system engineering, project management, etc. in development. Enterprises are becoming fiercer with the competition, the necessary competitive strategy of the fast reaction, so how use resource effectively under uncertain environment, assess and plan rigorously rapidly, it is important directions to combine information technology and operations research.
8,Serve and manage
The future research direction including industrial engineering of the service system is being served
General problem research of the system, the service is designed, serves and researches and develops management, service system design, service system job management, service performance to manage, the field that is employed is besides service trade, still and in serving the people and electronic government of the government, etc.; And under the environment of network, design and manage the new service system. For instance new enterprise service modes such as E-business, customer's relation management,etc..
(9) environmental management
Industrial engineering should from angle that " leave profit all over the world of counting on profit ", come on, research and produce impact on environment with the intersection of products and discussion of lifespan from " produce while being getting green ", thus reduce the negative effect that the production process causes to the environment by scientific management method.
